Community Involvement
Palmer International prides itself on our deeper purposes beyond simply the shareholder returns. We enrich our communities by devoting our time and financial resources to affect positive change. In March of 1999, the Palmer family put its very best foot forward by donating scores of acres of open land to Skippack Township, Pennsylvania. Among other uses, the township created a wonderful 55-acre public park (“Palmer Park”) where citizens and visitors, families and individuals, can come and play sports, walk, listen to outdoor concerts, and watch the 4th of July fireworks.
Over our history, we have made contributions to numerous charities which include Heifer International, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Boy Scouts of America, the Girl Scouts of the USA, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, several local fire departments and others. Sometimes these contributions are as common as writing a check, and other times these contributions are as unique as donating a Cashewthane™ coating system to restore and protect the exterior wood finish on a Boy Scout Troop’s cabin.
